Well, not really, but I had to come up with a readable tag line! That being said, I guess I’ll start off with the usual cliche and completely vacuous anecdotes we all use to start off the personal description process. Now that I think about it there probably really isn’t a way to escape this paragraph with any kind of dignity intact. I guess we’re all here for the same reason, finding that someone special, and we’ve all tried various other way to accomplish that goal; bars, clubs, friends, etc. Trying Match might just be the ticket! Let’s get the bad out of the way first. Old crap. B.S. from the past. Baggage. We all have it. I am a firm believer that a person can’t get this far in life without accumulating copious amounts of it. I also believe you don’t “get rid” of baggage, but you “deal with it” so it doesn’t negatively affect ongoing life and relationships. I also think about it this way; there are many things we would all take back if we could in our lives, things done to us and things we’ve done to others. Those things color us and make us who we are. All you have to do is own it and forgive. I have a daughter that I won’t compromise in any way. My job as a dad is to protect her from the bad stuff out there, but also to show her that life, though sometimes hard, is supposed to be fun and rewarding. I want to show her that relationships can be rewarding and nurturing if the right two people get together. I’m hopelessly attracted to tall, slender women. This presents a problem, since I’m 5’8”, and most of the tall ones want taller guys. It always seems to be the heels excuse. Wear them! I’d be proud to sport you around town on my arm and you in heels! Some qualities I admire: adventurousness, confidence, but also compassion, and sensuousness, and a fulfillment and love of life. I tend to like girly girls that have a tom boyish side. I’m a talker, and I thrive on having those special, synergistic conversations where two people just feed off of their shared energy! Communication is a must! I want to be able to talk about anything, but most importantly I want both my partner and I to feel safe in bringing up ANY issue, no matter how much we think the other person might not like it. I’m loyal to a fault, and one of my best friends told me once that I’m sickeningly moral. I was also told by a person steeped in the subject that I have an over exaggerated super-ego; a very defined sense of right and wrong, especially when applied to myself. I’m no Jungian scholar, but for me there are just some things a person should not do. I certainly am a one woman man, and I require that in return. I’m ready to give everything I can to a relationship with the right person. I want a partner in every sense of the word. For life. I would consider myself a conservative with libertarian leanings, and I love to talk politics. If you buy into all the crap around the idea that humans have the capacity to actively change the climate with anything but vast amounts of nuclear weapons, and/or you voted for our current Commander in Chief, we probably won’t get along. I have a sneaking suspicion that Liberalism is a mental disorder. I love to Cook! I’m a total carnivore. I’m also ? Czech and I’ve just started to delve into that culture’s gastronomy. I have a few family recipes that I make, like Chicken Paprikas and Ox-Tail soup. Some of my other specialties are Corn and Ham chowder, and awesome Antelope stew, and a great Hot and Sour soup! One of the best things in life is to light some candles, put on some ‘80s music, pour some drinks, and spend time with someone special cooking a great meal! Growing up in the country, a natural extension of my personality is my love of the outdoors. The only real quality pictures I have involve some kind of outdoor activity, but I'm not a zealot by any means. I’m an avid collector of guns, and I shoot as much as time allows. Do you shoot?
