Description
Hello profile viewer :) NOTE: I am a STRAIGHT GIRL. I'm not interested in messages from women. Now people not only don't read my profile, they don't even bother to check they've got the right gender  (If you think my profile is too long and don't want to read it all; there's no need to to send me a pointless message telling me so.) I am a person who doesn't feel the need to apologise for being interested in 'nerdy' pursuits. I'm interested in and enjoy everything from politics, philosophy and cosmology to anime, movies, and video games. I love fantasy and to a lesser extent science fiction, especially when it has a bleak and dystopian feel. I listen to music from all genres, but most of what I listen too tends to lean towards either rock/metal or 'classical' orchestral/instrumental. I love to draw and paint. Others praise my work, but I have impossibly high standards for myself, so though I enjoy the process; I tend not to be pleased with much of what I do. I'm attempting to write a novel which would be a series if I ever managed to silence the inner critic and stop changing things. I also play piano, albeit badly, sight reading isn't my thing but I'm good at picking things up by ear. I'm politically liberal. I don't follow one specific ideology or party but my views generally come under that definition. I can accept some slight variances but I don't get along with social conservatives, those far to the right, the blindly patriotic and those with blind faith. I'm pro-abortion, pro GBLT rights and believe strongly in separation of church and state. I think attitudes towards sex nowadays are ridiculous but people treat the act itself as the problem rather than the fact that people seem to turn it into something subversive or as something forbidden that can't be discussed. I think the state consent laws (and I am talking about teenagers, not pre-pubescents being preyed upon by paedophile rapists) are largely ridiculous, the fact that you can get married before you can vote, the fact that you can be charged as an adult but not trusted with alcohol etc. I'm not into the drunken pub-crawl culture so that pretty much writes off 90% of the people in my everyday life to form any lasting connection. I’m not straight-edge or think alcohol is inherently evil; I just don’t see why life has to revolve around it and don’t see the appeal of altering my perception of reality. I have standards, but I don't expect from other people what I can't do myself and by no means think I’m perfect. I value intelligence and genuine free thinkers who don't just think they're ‘intellectual’ because they can regurgitate the contents of a textbook and are unable to form an opinion that isn't pre-prepared or a version of someone else’s. I want to leave (escape :p) Ireland as soon as possible, but can’t afford college anywhere else but here, so I can’t quite yet. I love animals, I care about their welfare but I despise and want nothing to do with extremist groups like PETA giving the cause a bad name and the impression that all welfare/rights activists are part of some crazy fringe group. I'm 100% against cosmetic testing and undecided on (current) medical testing. I like people who will think against social norms while at the same time not throwing stones for the sake of it. Those who do not just accept 'it's just what people do' or 'it's just the way things are/culture/tradition as excuses. People who can be 'odd' and 'weird' and genuinely unique but without actively trying to be 'different'. People who like to learn, (even if they hate institutionalised education/academia (I certainly do.) who will think objectively beyond knee-jerk emotional responses and have at least a good idea of current affairs, even if they're not especially political. Someone who can take the fact that I'm honest and forthright with my opinions (though not abrasive or pushy) and isn't easily offended. Distance isn’t really a problem for me. Non-smoker/drug users. Non or rare drinker. Not someone who gets drunk. Not attracted to obese people and don’t apologise for it. Love long hair on guys. (This is not mandatory or anything I'm just saying.) Socially liberal politics. Introverted, or at least someone who has to go out all the time and has 100 'friends'. Please actually read my profile. Yes, I'm aware it's pretty long as profiles go on this site. If you can't set yourself apart from the hundreds of other 'i liked ur profile. how r u's, you might as well not bother. Actually have something to say to me based on reading my profile that seems like a real attempt to get to know me, instead of just a short, generic statement. Just saying: ‘Hey, you seem cool. I really liked you profile, what’s your msn?’ could be a generic copy-paste that are often sent out to people at random without even glancing at who they are. Insulting me and making ad hominem arguments against things I say here aren't good ways to make me talk to you. Understand that knowing what I want doesn't make me an ***hole and I don't go around attacking other people's chosen lifestyles and preferences even if I find them personally unappealing as long as they don't hurt others. I’m not ageist, and dislike it when I see people with narrow age ranges set in their profiles, especially when they claim they only seek friendship. Practical experience and emotional maturity/self-awareness are different things, many people seem to lack the latter two no matter how old they get. Also, not everyone who's older than you is automatically 'creepy' or to be immediately labelled as some kind of pervert or written off as invalid (I see people reacting like someone 5 years older than them is some kind of paedophile, even when they're in their 20s themselves.) I don't see why this should be any more acceptable than any other blatant prejudice or generalisation. I don't see how my profile seems so unusual to people, it's only a fraction of who I am, I would think even the most boring of people have a little more to them than the 5 line profiles I come across. Also, guys: There are other phrases left in the universe other than 'a nice guy', 'laid-back' and 'easy-going'. I'm not interested on guys with unhealthily obsessed man-crushes on various sporting figures. I do not know or care about sports and hate the mania that generally goes with it. If you like playing, I respect that, but no obsessive, die-hard fans/watchers. please. I don't owe you a reply. Everyone you message isn't going to like you, and it doesn't mean there's something wrong with them. I got over that fact, why can't you? Sending me follow-ups to the tune of 'you musn't be so great after all' just because I didn't like you is immature and petty. Please write in proper English. This doesn't seem to be getting through to people. Things like not capitalising 'i's on their own and at the beginning of sentences, walls of text with NO full-stops or commas used, not knowing the difference between there, their and they're and using spellings like 'sumtime', 'how r u' and 'thru'. I'm not even being fussy. I'm not talking about the odd typo or spelling mistake; I don't want perfection and I don't claim to be myself. I just want very basic English skills. I don't know how so many native speakers who seem to have gotten through school and college, and still type like they're severely mentally challenged. If you read nothing else, read this before you send me anything. People who meet these (allegedly) 'high standards' do exist, people act like they're bizzare requests that could never realistically be met. They're not. If seeing that you don't meet them offends you sending me snarky messages under the guise of 'advice' won't change a thing. I won't be provoked into giving you attention: I learned long ago not to bother with pointless internet arguments with self-righteous know-it-alls; you will be ignored. No IMs or greetings please, just messages (this is mostly just to see who's reading or not, so I can block anyone who does instead of having 20 from the same person who refuses to even skim what I've written.)

Hi, wanna live in Sweden? :) Me and my brother offers you this - do household chours and live for free in our nice apartment in a small but comfy own room. Were not looking for a romantic relationship, but an exchange of services (not sexual). We want you to speak enough english to make yourself understood without any issues. Hope to hear from you soon!
