I am independent and hard working. I enjoy striking up conversations with the people I meet. I am an outdoors man, I hunt and fish, camp, backpack and ride my bike. I volunteer as a firefighter/EMT and care for the people in my community. I have traveled the world and still get excited about new places, people and food. I think deeply about politics and the issues that effect our country. I can be very passionate and intense about some issues and I can let go as well. My children are grown and spread out but we are still close and they are very important to me. I like animals, I have dogs and birds. I listen to all forms of rock music, read sci-fi/fantasy books, watch movies and the only sport I really pay attention to is pro football.

I am looking for someone who is their own person but has room in their life to share some time and activities with me. We should have some common ground and respect each others differences. Health is important so eating right and being active is important to me, I don't think working out in a gym 5 days a week is very fun and prefer a person who gets their exercise mostly from outdoor activities.
